NO’HMA brings Thought and Life together in a tangible cultural presence, answering a social need which consistently reveals the immancence of thought and the numinous presence of the “Soul”. It symbolises the need to exist and the destiny of theatre in its very name, inspired by the Letters of Plutarchos who for the first time in Attic Greek blended the roots of two words, νουσ (“nous”), the mind and thought, and a reference to blood, αιμα (“ema”), the substance and the breath of life.
